I found John in 2024 when I was at the lowest of low. I felt like I had nothing to loose . John took me through the session talking about mindfulness and other coping strategies.
At the start I could fill a 2 minute gratitude recording and I struggled with it and persisted . I’m so glad I did . Last year I lost my first and only great grandson at 21 months . My sister had a cancer scare and to top it off I had all my money scammed from my bank .
I’m still standing tall , thanks to John’s teaching . I couldn’t imagine where I would have been without living this mindfulness lifestyle.
John I’ll never be able to thank you enough. Much love always

I first came across John Shearer during the Lismore 2022 floods, after spending 6 hours on the roof awaiting to be rescued & then realizing I had lost everything, I moved away from Lismore & was homeless for a short time. It was a time when everything felt uncertain and overwhelming & I just needed someone to listen & understand. I took on John's certificate course on MAD (Making A Difference) mindfulness therapy which allowed phone calls when I needed them. John was always available; with a good ear a good heart & good words of wisdom.
I choose mindfulness as I had been a meditating for a number of years & I knew of it's benefits. What stood out to me straight away was how genuine and down-to-earth he is. He doesn’t complicate things or make mindfulness feel out of reach — he explains it in a way that makes sense and is easy to use in everyday life, even during life's most stressful times. Researching John on the internet gave me a insight into the fact that he was not just a academic doing this for a job or money but had in fact been through a difficult traumatic life event himself, so he had suffered & prevailed, which was important to me that he had "weathered the storm" so to speak.

John has a calm, supportive presence that really helps you slow down and find some peace, no matter what’s going on around you, his approach is authentic and relatable; as his mantra "Be Mindful...Pause...Connect"

Over the last few years John, with his wonderful wife Maureen, has now incorporated a new line of sound therapy into his practice for the lucky locals of Hervey Bay including many sonic healing instruments that can take you into deep mediation, rest & peace. If you’re looking for someone who can make mindfulness (or just need to talk) feel accessible, meaningful, and genuinely helpful; I can’t recommend John highly enough. He has a gift for connecting with people and helping them find more peace and clarity in their everyday lives.

Fantastic mindfulness coach with relaxing and powerful sound healing with gongs of all sizes, rain sounds whales, crystal bowls and a mix of other sound healing equipment I dream to have, this is therapy for me internally mentally and spiritually connections too.
If you’re willing to do the work, to come to peace of mind calm and connection to the inner you.
if you actually practise the work it literally becomes daily habit you’ll see the benefits within yourself, the growth I have seen when I look back at my own reflection on it my experience too,
I have loved every minute and have made a beautiful connection with the sound healer him self and the same gentleman John Shearer in the mindfulness coaching, I now flow, ignite and appreciate.
Just like a be mindful, pause and I connect.
